Summer Camp Tuition Assistance

Financial Aid

Anyone attending or intending to participate in an Athenian Summer Program can apply to receive camp tuition assistance. Tuition assistance may be awarded for the use in any Athenian run summer camp or class that is offered. We review applications on a rolling basis every 2-weeks until our Tuition Assistance budget has been depleted for the year. Expect to be notified within two weeks of applying.

  • Who can apply for Financial Aid and which camps will qualify?

    Anyone attending or intending to participate in an Athenian Summer Program can apply to receive financial aid. Financial aid may be awarded for the use in any Athenian run summer program i.e., any camp that is offered.  
  • How is financial aid funded?

    Athenian Summer Programs reserves a set amount of funding each year to award as financial aid to ensure accessibility of our summer programs to families who otherwise would not be able to afford it. Once the financial aid budget has been distributed to applicant families, we are no longer able to provide additional funding. However, we do offer a set number of free summer camp spaces to Title 1 Partner schools in the community. Please reach out to the Athenian Summer Programs team for more information.
  • When do I need to apply for financial aid and when will I know whether my family has been awarded any financial aid?

    We review applications on a rolling basis every 2-weeks until our Tuition Assistance budget has been depleted. Expect to be notified within two weeks of applying.

  • Do I apply for financial aid first and then to the program, or to the program first?

    You can apply for financial aid or summer programming in either order. If you have registered for camps before receiving the notice of award and the request for aid was denied, then you will be fully refunded for your registration if you choose not to participate. However, we will not be able to refund any processing fees charged through the Active platform. You are welcome to wait to receive notice of your financial aid decision before registering for camps as well. Please do note that some Athenian camps fill quickly. 
  • What do I need to submit for my application to be considered “complete”?

    Athenian Summer Financial Aid Application through Google Forms or a paper version of the application which may be obtained at the Athenian School: Summer Programs and After School Department 2100 Mt. Diablo Scenic Blvd. Danville, CA 94506. 
  • Can I use other discounts in addition to financial aid and are decisions subject to appeals?

    The amount of financial aid may be used with the automatic sibling discount, but cannot be combined with other discount codes. Financial Aid decisions are final and not subject to appeals.
