Please wear sun protection and boots or sturdy close-toed shoes. We have a supply of tools & gloves though you're welcome to bring your own. Reusable water bottles are encouraged. We'll provide snacks for volunteers throughout our time together!
Fifty-five million American women are currently experiencing menopause, resulting in billions in lost wages, upended careers, family disruptions, and emotional turmoil. Join us for a screening of the powerful documentary The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause, which explores the hidden impact of menopause on women’s lives, challenges societal and medical shortcomings in approaching women in midlife, and empowers women to make informed health decisions. Our discussion after the screening will be facilitated by Dr. Leah Millheiser, Athenian mom, OBGYN, and Director of the Female Sexual Medicine Program at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
Check-in begins at 6:30 p.m. and the program will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. with small group discussions about the cases facilitated by college admission representatives. Following the case study discussion, there will be a college fair in the gym from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. This will be your opportunity to walk around and personally meet and talk with the college representatives in attendance.
