Description: The 3D printing revolution is here! Are you ready to be a part of it? This beginner's class on computer aided design (CAD) and 3D printing will help you turn your ideas into reality. Campers will use modeling software like Blender, Tinkercad Designs and Adobe Illustrator as they dive into the concepts of computer aided design. They will be shown how 3D printers are used to make a prototype come to life and will have the opportunity to use the 3D printers to make their designs come to life. Campers will come away with a new understanding of the powerful capabilities of 3D printing and rapid prototyping! Campers will also learn how to use the laser cutter. They will have the opportunity to design, cut, and etch multiple projects of choice. Campers will also have the opportunity to take home some of their creations.

Instructor Dave Briccetti is a highly skilled programmer and experienced computer science teacher, and teaches in Athenian’s After School Enrichment Program. Watch him teach on his YouTube channel.
