We know an independent school education is a significant investment. We are committed to making The Athenian School as accessible as possible to a wide range of families. Our financial aid program is designed to provide options for qualified families to afford an Athenian education. We have allocated over $4.4 million in financial aid this year to 26% of our student body.
Athenian uses the Clarity Application to determine a family's tuition level based on the information provided in the application including assets, income, expenses and debts. This information is then shared with Mission Enrollment for the assessment of the application. Mission Enrollment serves schools and families to ensure equitable and impartial review practice for financial assistance. Applying for Financial Aid
To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account here.* The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Please contact admissions@athenian.org if the application fee presents a hardship for your family.
*If you are a returning Athenian family and have applied for financial aid before, you do not need to create a new account for Clarity. Use the same email address you used for the SSS application last year.
Note: Clarity offers a secure and streamlined approach to data and tax information. In the application process you’ll be asked to complete an Internal Revenue Services Form 4506-C, IVES Request for Transcript of Tax Return which will provide Clarity direct access to the tax documentation required for your application.
