Admission Events

2024 - 2025 Admission Events

We host a variety of events for prospective students and families throughout the fall and winter. While visit days and open houses should be a priority, we encourage you to attend other events–either in person or virtual–to help you get to know Athenian.

For the most part, you’ll need to register for our events through Ravenna. Most Bay Area schools use Ravenna as their online application system. If you haven’t yet created an account, you’ll want to do so to view the most up-to-date event offerings and to access all of the information you will need regarding the application process.

October 2024

Middle School Campus Visits Begin!
Students and families applying to the Middle School should schedule a campus visit. Middle School visits will take place most Tuesdays and Thursdays through the first week of February, 2025. Registration through November is available on Ravenna. Visits are a required step in the application process.

Upper School Visits Begin!
Students and families applying to the Upper School should schedule a campus visit. Upper School visits will take place most Mondays and Wednesdays through the first week of February 2025. Registration through November is now available on Ravenna. Visits are a required step in the day student application process.

Middle School Open House

Students and families interested in learning more about the Middle School should attend! There will be interactive class demonstrations and informative presentations, as well as opportunities to meet current students, families and teachers.

Annual Olive Harvest & Orchard Work Party

Participate in the 14th Annual Athenian Olive Harvest! Come harvest olives from all over campus while connecting with members of the Athenian community. Athenian olives are locally pressed into oil and sold to the community as a fundraiser. Participants in the Olive Harvest will receive an email when the oil is available for purchase.

Annual Blaxgiving

Join us for Blaxgiving, a special evening where Black-identifying students, prospective students, faculty, alumni, and their families come together to celebrate community and connection. Enjoy a delicious dinner on campus, surrounded by warmth and good company. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Financial Aid Information Session (Virtual)

Need help understanding the financial aid application process? This event will guide you through the process! We encourage families applying or interested in applying for financial aid to attend. For more information click here.

Upper School Music and Dance Concert

We welcome students and their families to attend our winter concert. More information and a link to RSVP will be included in our November newsletter which you will automatically receive if you have included Athenian in your Ravenna account.

January 2025

Upper School Shadow Visits
Starting in January we will offer short Shadow visits (applicants will be paired with a current student for one class). This opportunity is only available to those who have already completed their application and school Visit Day. More details and registration is available in Ravenna.
